How are pageviews counted?
For billing purposes, pageviews refer to the number of API events sent to Panelbear. Events could be pageviews or custom events.
For example, suppose a visitor navigates to 2 pages on your website and also triggers a custom event called 'NewsletterSignup'. In this case, a total of 3 events will be counted towards your monthly quota (2 page views + 1 custom event).
For the purposes of determining your pricing plan, we only count events sent in the last 30 days. Historical events are kept for the data retention period included in your plan.
What happens if I exceed my account limits?
Everything will continue working as usual, so you won't have to worry in case your website goes viral. There's no overage fees.
When you exceed your monthly limit, we'll send you an email alert and give you enough time to find a plan that better fits your needs. However, if you don't upgrade within the grace period, new data will be rejected until your usage is back within limits. That way, you'll have enough time to react in case your website gets a lot of traffic, and you won't lose data as soon as you reach the limit.
We'll never charge you an unexpected fee, and you'll always be able to change or cancel your plan via the billing settings page.
Can I use the same plan for multiple websites?
You can have multiple websites under a single account. Our pricing is based on usage. For example, if your plan includes 100k events per month, you could have 5 websites each with 20k events (pageviews + custom events).
What are my payment options?
We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. We do not, under any circumstances, accept Paypal.
Is my payment information safe?
We use Stripe for billing, which is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. Additionally, your payment credentials are never directly handled by or stored on our servers.
How do I cancel my subscription?
To cancel your paid subscription, simply log in, go to the billing page, and click on "Cancel" — that's all there is to it!
You can also close your account from the account settings page. Please note we automatically delete inactive user data, and your account deletion cannot be undone.
Can I change my plan later?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. If you choose to upgrade, you'll pay a pro-rated amount for the rest of the billing cycle. If you choose to downgrade, you'll be credited on your next billing cycle.
Is my data secure?
Panelbear uses physical, procedural, and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of your information. We regularly back up your data to prevent data loss and aid in recovery.
All data is securely stored within the European Union, this facilitates compliance with privacy regulations, and leverages the EU's strong standards for data protection.
Do you sell my data?
No. We are in the business of fast and private analytics, not selling your data to third-parties.

Do you offer refunds?
We do not offer refunds. However, you can easily cancel at any time, and your paid subscription will no longer renew.
How do I add your analytics script?
Simply copy and paste the snippet shown in your dashboard into the header of any website or content management system. It's a simple piece of code that only collects what is necessary and loads super fast from anywhere in the world.
Are you compliant with privacy regulations?
Privacy and security are part of our foundation. We build our products to be compliant with privacy regulations including GDPR, and CCPA.
Do I need to show a cookie notice on my website?
We don't use tracking cookies, so you may not be legally required to show a cookie notice. However, this is not legal advice, and we encourage you to seek advice from a qualified professional.
